Senator Bill Weber Meets With Local Village Rabbanim as He Continues to Build Strong Coalition of Support

Last week, New York State Senator Bill Weber met with local Rabbanim, including those from the Villages of Airmont, New Hempstead, Chestnut Ridge, Haverstraw, and Wesley Hills. The Rabbanim confirmed their strong and ongoing support for the Senator’s reelection campaign.

Discussions regarding how the November 5 election boils down to good versus evil across so many fronts were brought up time and again. Proposition 1 was the strongest example discussed, including gratitude for Senator Weber, who joins the frum community in strong opposition to the depravity the proposition represents – unlike his opponent, who voted in support of the proposition, which goes completely against Torah-true values.
Another issue of tremendous concern was yeshiva education in New York and the ongoing attacks the age-old system continues to withstand from the New York State Department of Education. The rabbanim were well aware of the Senator’s record given that he has proven time and again his stalwart support of yeshiva education even beyond his work as a member of the New York State Education Committee.

“The outpouring of support from the rabbis of so many villages is truly heartwarming,” Senator Weber said. “I am proud to stand beside those who dedicate their lives to strong family and community values.”
