On Tuesday morning, Senator Bill Weber made visits to two prominent local businesses, Golden Taste and Sanders Bakery, to recognize their outstanding contributions to the community.
The Senator’s first stop was at Golden Taste, where he presented Mr. Perlmutter with the prestigious New York State Empire Award. This accolade highlighted the company’s role as a major employer in the area, with over 100 Spring Valley residents on its payroll. Accompanying Senator Weber was Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Joseph Gross, who joined in acknowledging the company’s positive impact. In addition to celebrating Golden Taste’s economic contributions, Weber commended Mr. Perlmutter for his extensive charitable efforts and expressed excitement about the company’s upcoming ribbon-cutting event at their new location in Chestnut Ridge.
The Senator then visited Sanders Bakery, where he presented the owner with another New York State Empire Award. This visit, just ahead of Chanukkah, offered Weber a chance to sample the bakery’s famed donuts while learning about its community-oriented initiatives. Sanders Bakery is not only a culinary favorite but also a charitable cornerstone, donating leftover goods to the local organization Zeh Lazeh. Senator Weber applauded the bakery’s generosity and its role in boosting the local economy.
“These businesses exemplify the spirit of community and enterprise that make our area thrive,” said Senator Weber. “I am honored to recognize their contributions and look forward to seeing their continued success.”
Both Golden Taste and Sanders Bakery serve as shining examples of how local enterprises can positively impact their communities through employment, charitable giving, and economic growth.
