This afternoon, Senator Bill Weber and County Legislator Alden Wolfe paid a special visit to the Rachamstrivka Cheder, where they were treated to a creative and educational “world tour.”
The special guests were given mock passports and “traveled” through Eretz Yisroel, visiting the Kosel Hamaravi in Yerushalayim, the kever of Reb Shimon bar Yochai in Meron, the kever of Reb Meir Baal Hanes in Tiveria, and the Arizal’s Mikvah in Tzfas. Their journey continued to Kerestir to visit the kever of Reb Shayala, then on to Krakow, Poland, and finally the kever of Reb Meilech in Lizhensk. At each stop, their passports were stamped, just like on a real trip.
The talmidim brought each location to life using cardboard boxes, props, and other imaginative creations. Senator Weber and Legislator Wolfe were impressed with the children’s creativity, as well as their knowledge of geography, holy sites, and travel customs. They praised the students’ enthusiasm and expressed how much they look forward to returning to the cheder in the future.
