Senator Bill Weber Calls for Investigation into Nyack Village Administrator’s Actions

NY State Senator Bill Weber has publicly voiced his concerns regarding the recent actions of Andy Stewart, the Village Administrator of Nyack and former three-term Orangetown Supervisor.

A photo published by the national Jewish organization, Stop Antisemitism, has brought to light Mr. Stewart’s involvement in tearing down signs of civilian hostages taken by Hamas on October 7th. The captured civilians include some Americans.

Senator Weber stated that such behavior is contrary to the core values of tolerance, respect, and empathy that the society must stand for. He remarked, “This disturbing behavior goes against the principles that we, as a society, should uphold.”

It has been noted that similar incidents have occurred in various parts of the United States. Senator Weber finds it particularly alarming to witness such actions in Rockland County. He is urging for a comprehensive investigation into this incident and believes that consequences should be meted out for these actions.
