The State Aid for Library Construction Program funds a range of activities and expenditures, including the construction of new library buildings, expansions, and the renovation or rehabilitation of existing facilities. Eligible projects include roof replacement, installation of alternative energy resources, HVAC system upgrades, window and door replacements, and electrical system enhancements. Additionally, libraries can use the funding for new furniture, shelving, computer equipment, and accessibility improvements for patrons with disabilities.

These investments are part of an ongoing effort to ensure Rockland County’s libraries remain safe, accessible, and well-equipped to serve the community.
