There was a second structure fire in Spring Valley on Thursday afternoon, just minutes after an earlier fire was placed under control.
The second fire was in a barber shop at 279 North Main Street near West Eckerson Road.
The Spring Valley Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from New City and Hillcrest, and it was brought under control at around 6:45pm.
There were no injuries reported, and no word on what caused the blaze.
