Search Continues for Missing Rockland County Boater, Rafael Lemus

Connecticut police are intensifying their efforts in the search for Rafael Lemus, a 34-year-old from Suffern, who went missing after a boating accident in the Long Island Sound near Cockenoe Island last month.

Lemus was part of a group of five when their boat sank. While three were rescued, Lemus and another man, Juan Gabriel Valle Pineda of Spring Valley, were reported missing. Pineda’s body was later found 3 miles from the accident site.

The search for Lemus continues, with local authorities combing the coastline and water. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and are reminding the public about boating safety measures.
