SCAM ALERT: Multiple Monsey Business Emails Hacked — Fake DocuSign Messages Sent to Thousands

Monsey Scoop has confirmed that multiple Monsey-based businesses have had their email accounts hacked, with cybercriminals sending out fraudulent DocuSign emails to thousands of local residents.

The scam emails appear to come from trusted local businesses and contain what looks like a legitimate DocuSign link — urging recipients to click and review documents. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. These are phishing attempts designed to steal personal information, gain access to your computer, or compromise sensitive data.

This is part of a larger, worldwide hacking campaign that has now been targeted specifically at our Monsey community.

Local IT professionals advise anyone who receives a suspicious email — even from a familiar company or vendor — to double-check with the business directly before clicking on anything. If you’ve already clicked the link or entered any information, you should contact your IT support immediately and monitor your accounts for any unusual activity.
