A large-scale Siyum Hashas event is set to take place this Sunday at Rockland Community College, celebrating the completion of a 12-year learning cycle by the Toiraschu Sha’ashuai chaburah, a prominent initiative within the Satmar Kehilla. Organizers are anticipating a major turnout, with preparations underway to accommodate the significant crowd expected from across the tri-state area.
The event will honor the lomdim who successfully completed the entire Shas as part of the chaburah’s disciplined and consistent daily learning schedule. The siyum also marks the official launch of a new cycle, with many more individuals now joining the program to embark on their journey through Shas.
In recent weeks, smaller siyumim have taken place in homes, batei medrash, and shuls throughout Monsey and beyond, building excitement and momentum leading into Sunday’s grand gathering. Access to the event will be managed through distributed entry credentials, with special recognition given to those who have dedicated themselves fully to Torah study.
Security for the event will be coordinated by Chaverim of Rockland, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, and Rockland Community College Public Safety, working together to maintain safety and order throughout the gathering.
Monsey’s central location between Kiryas Yoel, Williamsburg, and Boro Park once again makes it the ideal venue for this large-scale Torah celebration, which will bring together communities in a united expression of kavod haTorah and encouragement for continued limud haTorah.
