Satmar kehilla of Monsey will officially open its temporary Beis Hamedrash Divrei Yoel this Shabbos in the Ridge Avenue area, marking another milestone as the rapidly growing kehilla continues expanding while construction of its permanent shul moves forward.
The temporary Beis Hamedrash will be located at 260 Old Nyack Turnpike, at the corner of South Main Street, and will serve as the shul’s home until the permanent Beis Hamedrish is completed.
The inaugural Shabbos will be highlighted by a special simcha, as one of the mispallelim celebrates a Shabbos Bris in the new Beis Hamedrash. In honor of the opening, Satmar Rav of Monsey, HaRav Avrohom Hersh Wosner, Shlita, will join the kehillah on Friday night, where he is expected to deliver divrei chizuk before Kabbalas Shabbos, adding special significance to the historic opening of the new Beis Hamedrash.
The opening follows the recent Hanochas Even HaPinah for the permanent Beis Hamedrash Divrei Yoel, reflecting the continued growth of the Satmar community in the Ridge Avenue area.
