Rockland Paramedic Services has been awarded the prestigious American Heart Association Mission: LifeLine® Bronze Achievement Award, a national recognition honoring emergency medical service agencies that demonstrate excellence in providing rapid, evidence-based care to patients suffering from heart attacks and strokes.
The award recognizes Rockland Paramedic Services’ commitment to following proven treatment protocols that improve patient outcomes during some of the most critical medical emergencies. Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease and stroke, remain the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming more lives annually than all forms of cancer and accidental deaths combined.
Officials said the recognition reflects years of investment in advanced training, quality improvement initiatives, and a continued focus on delivering the highest level of pre-hospital care. They credited the achievement to the dedication of their paramedics, dispatchers, and support personnel who work daily to ensure patients receive timely, lifesaving treatment.
The American Heart Association’s Mission: LifeLine program honors EMS agencies nationwide that consistently meet high standards in the treatment and transport of cardiac and stroke patients, helping improve survival rates and long-term outcomes for those facing medical emergencies.
