Rockland Paramedic Services Honors Paramedic Dennis “Sean” Aumick for 25 Years of Service

Rockland Paramedic Services has announced the retirement of Paramedic Dennis “Sean” Aumick, honoring his 25 years of dedicated service to the communities of Orangetown, Ramapo, and Tuxedo.

Sean’s career in emergency services began in 1987 as a junior firefighter with Hose 6 in Port Jervis. Rising through the ranks, he served as Lieutenant, Chief Driver, and later as Chief of the Cuddebackville Fire District, where he held multiple leadership roles including Medical Officer, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, and Chief. He continues to serve as an active honorary member of Hose 6 since 2007.

In EMS, Sean became an EMT in 1991 and has remained active with the Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps ever since. After earning his paramedic certification in 1995 from Luzerne County Community College, he served as a Paramedic Supervisor from 2010 to 2015 and remains a life member of Port Jervis VAC.

Beyond Rockland Paramedic Services, Sean’s career has spanned across Hudson Valley Ambulance, Elliot’s Ambulance, Liberty Volunteer Ambulance, and even federal service at Otisville Correctional Facility. His unwavering commitment to saving lives has touched countless individuals across the region.

“Sean’s dedication, expertise, and compassion have been an inspiration to colleagues and community members alike,” Rockland Paramedic Services said in their tribute. “As he enters retirement, his legacy will remain in the hearts of those he has served.”

Sean now looks forward to enjoying a well-deserved retirement with his family after decades of leadership and frontline service.
