On Monday, the entire North Rockland community came together to honor and celebrate the remarkable career of Paramedic Lieutenant Laura Gluck, who rode her final shift after an incredible 45 years of service in emergency medical services.
Lt. Gluck, a cornerstone of Rockland Paramedic Services at Station “Medic 1,” has served with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and compassion. Known for her calm demeanor in the most critical situations, she has been a trusted and familiar presence for countless families during their most difficult moments.
Throughout her decades of service, Lt. Gluck led with strength and kindness, mentoring new generations of EMTs and paramedics while setting a high standard of excellence in the field. Her leadership and empathy have made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the broader community.
“Laura has been more than a paramedic—she’s been a role model, a mentor, and a friend to so many,” said a fellow first responder. “Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the lives she’s touched and the professionals she’s helped shape.”
As she steps into retirement, the Rockland community extends its heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Lt. Gluck for a happy, healthy, and fulfilling next chapter.
