Rockland Paramedic Services and North Rockland EMS Bid Farewell to Veteran EMS Leader Bob Carmen

Friends, colleagues, and fellow first responders from across Rockland County gathered over the weekend to honor the retirement of longtime paramedic Bob Carmen, marking the end of an extraordinary chapter in local EMS history.

Carmen, who officially retired on Sunday, dedicated more than 30 years to the North Rockland EMS community, including 24 years with Rockland Paramedic Services. Known for his professionalism, leadership, and unwavering commitment to patient care, Carmen became a respected figure throughout the county’s emergency services network.

Colleagues expressed heartfelt gratitude and admiration during the farewell gathering, praising Carmen’s decades of service and mentorship.

“We thank Bob for his steadfast leadership and professionalism over the years,” said a representative from Rockland Paramedic Services. “His contributions will not be forgotten.”

Carmen now heads into a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication that will continue to inspire future generations of paramedics.
