On Sunday evening, Rockland Hatzoloh volunteers from the Monsey and Airmont districts came together for an uplifting and timely Hilchos Shabbos and Yom Tov shiur, held in preparation for the upcoming Yom Tov season.
The gathering featured prominent Rabbonim who addressed practical halachic scenarios faced by Hatzoloh volunteers on Shabbos and Yom Tov. Among the speakers were Hatzoloh’s Rav the Belzer Dayan HaRav Betzalel Tovia Wettenstein Shlita, Satmar Rav HaRav Chaim Shea Halberstam Shlita, Rav Gorden of New Square, Rav Paplanosh and Rav Yechezkel Weiss.
The evening was smoothly MC’d by longtime Rockland Hatzoloh paramedic Duvid Yida Shtroli, creating an atmosphere of achdus and renewed commitment. The Shiur served as a powerful boost in strengthening the knowledge and awareness of the intricate halachos that guide Hatzoloh volunteers in their life-saving work on both Shabbos and Yom Tov.
In addition to the shiurim, Hatzoloh volunteers were introduced to the newly reprinted “Mikroei Kodesh”, a practical halachic guide for Hatzoloh members that addresses real-life scenarios of pikuach nefesh on Shabbos and Yom Tov. The updated edition is set to be released within the next two weeks, just in time for the Yamim Noraim and Sukkos season.
With the participation of leading Rabbonim, Sunday night’s shiur highlighted Rockland Hatzoloh’s ongoing commitment to ensuring its volunteers not only save lives but do so with deep respect and adherence to halacha.
