Rockland Green welcomed the HVRC Materials Management Working Group to its headquarters recently for a detailed presentation and tour. The session was led by Gerard M. Damiani Jr., Executive Director of Rockland Green, along with Jennifer Sheridan of the Outreach and Education Department. They provided insightful details about the organization’s programs and facilities.
The event also saw participation from Janet Burnet and Jayleen Villegas, both members of Rockland Green’s Outreach and Education Department, who contributed to the informative presentation.
The highlight of the visit was a comprehensive tour of the Materials Recovery Facility, expertly guided by Manuel Guzman, the Facility Manager from SMR/Balcones, and Duc Ngo, the Maintenance Manager. The tour offered an up-close look at how Rockland Green efficiently manages and processes waste in Rockland County, showcasing their advanced recycling and waste management techniques.
