Law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and firefighters from across Rockland County lined the streets Monday to pay their final respects during the funeral procession for Ramapo Police Dispatcher Dominick J. D’Alisera #54, who passed away on March 3 at the age of 47. Members of numerous police, fire, and EMS agencies stood in formation as the procession passed, honoring the longtime public safety dispatcher and volunteer whose decades of service left a lasting impact on the community.
D’Alisera joined the Ramapo Police Department in 2022, bringing with him more than three decades of public safety experience in Rockland County. Prior to that, he served for over 20 years as a police dispatcher with the Spring Valley Police Department and the Haverstraw Police Department, including more than 16 years with Spring Valley beginning in 2005, where he helped implement critical systems including the department’s records management, telephone, and 911 systems.
In addition to his work behind the console, D’Alisera was deeply involved in Rockland County’s volunteer emergency services. He was a life member of the West Haverstraw Fire Department’s Volunteer Hose Company #2 and a member of Haverstraw Ambulance Corps, Inc., dedicating countless hours to serving residents throughout the county.
