Rockland District Attorney Forms New Partnership with U.S. Secret Service Following NYC Meeting

Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh, along with Chief Assistant District Attorney Patrick Frawley and Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith, met with members of the United States Secret Service on Thursday during a visit to their New York City field office. The team was welcomed by Assistant Special Agent in Charge James McHale and Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge Christine Farber.

The visit served as more than just a tour—it marked the beginning of a formal collaboration between Rockland County and the Secret Service. The federal agency, known for its dual mission of protecting U.S. leaders and investigating financial and cyber crimes, plays a key role in safeguarding national security and the country’s financial infrastructure.

DA Walsh emphasized the importance of the meeting, stating, “This partnership will enhance our ability to protect the residents of Rockland County. I’m pleased to share that a detective from our office will now be working alongside the Secret Service at their Brooklyn field office to support joint investigations and intelligence-gathering efforts.”

The newly formed partnership aims to boost Rockland County’s ability to address complex financial crimes and threats, while strengthening ties with one of the nation’s premier federal law enforcement agencies.
