Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced that four individuals have been arrested following “Operation Spring Cleaning,” a months-long investigation by the Rockland County Drug Task Force targeting illegal drug sales in the Village of Nyack.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, investigators determined that the defendants sold crack cocaine in exchange for cash during the investigation. Those arrested include Tyrone Stewart, 35, Frantz Beauvais, 39, Harrison Whitehead, 38, and Dexter Fisher, 33. Stewart is charged with two counts each of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Beauvais, Whitehead, and Fisher each face three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. All four were arrested on indictments and arraigned.
The charges are Class B felonies and each count carries a potential sentence of up to nine years in state prison. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force is made up of investigators from the District Attorney’s Office, the Town of Ramapo Police Department, the Town of Haverstraw Police Department, and the Village of Suffern Police Department.
District Attorney Walsh praised the success of the operation, saying the coordinated efforts of the Drug Task Force continue to play a critical role in combating narcotics trafficking and protecting the safety of Rockland County residents. He also commended Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith and Narcotics Task Force Director William Martinez for their leadership throughout the investigation.
