Rockland County’s Summer Youth Employment Program Receives $566K Grant

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) of Rockland County has received a substantial boost in funding, thanks to a $566,000 grant. County Executive Ed Day, Department of Social Services Commissioner Joan Silvestri, and Youth Bureau Director Gabriella Marano proudly accepted the grant on behalf of the program.

SYEP is a highly regarded initiative that provides employment opportunities for more than 200 young people at over 30 employers throughout Rockland County. The program is instrumental in offering valuable job experience to participants, helping them develop essential skills for their future careers.

The recent grant will ensure the continued success and growth of the program, enabling even more young people to take advantage of the opportunities offered by SYEP.
