The new Department of Social Services Commissioner, Patrick A. Frawley, officially begins his new role on Tuesday, June 30, following his unanimous confirmation by the Rockland County Legislature earlier this month. As previously reported by Monsey Scoop, Frawley brings decades of public service experience to the position, having served as a police officer, attorney, and Chief Assistant District Attorney. He succeeds longtime DSS Commissioner Joan Silvestri, who is retiring after leading the department since 2017.
