Rockland County Welcomes New Judges at 9th Judicial District Induction Ceremony

Rockland County officials, members of the legal community, and invited guests gathered Thursday afternoon at the Rockland County Courthouse for an induction ceremony welcoming two new judges to the New York State 9th Judicial District.

The ceremony, held in the Central Jury Room, formally inducted Nabeela McLeod, who will serve as a Judge of the Rockland Family Court, and Patricia Brimais-Tenemille, who will serve as a Justice of the Village of Spring Valley.

The event marked an important milestone for the county’s judiciary, highlighting the continued strengthening of the local court system and its commitment to public service and justice. Attendees included fellow judges, attorneys, court officials, elected leaders, and family members, who came together to recognize the judges’ achievements and new roles on the bench.

The induction took place Thursday at the Rockland County Courthouse in New City.
