Rockland County officials have announced the commencement of a significant road resurfacing initiative beginning next Tuesday. The project will span multiple towns, targeting several key roads for improvements.
In Stony Point, Route 210 from Cedar Flat Road to W Main Street/Old 210 will undergo milling from April 23 to April 25, with paving scheduled for April 27. Orangetown will see work on Orangeburg Road from Blaisdell Road to Hunt Road, with milling set for April 26 to May 1 and paving on May 2 and May 3. Additionally, S Middletown Road from Hovenkamp Avenue to the Route 304 South ramp will be milled on May 2 and May 3, with paving following on May 7.
Clarkstown’s roadwork includes Middletown Road from Route 59 to the Thruway overpass, with milling from May 6 to May 8 and paving on May 10 and May 13. Resurfacing will also occur on Germonds Road from Route 304 to Parrott Road, and Strawtown Road from West Nyack Road to Germonds Road, with respective paving set for May 15 and May 20-21. New City-Congers Road from Prides Crossing to Ridge Road will see milling on May 22 and May 23, and paving on May 28.
In Ramapo, Montebello Road from Miles Road to Hemion Road, and Hemion Road from Montebello Road to the Thruway bridge, will both be milled from May 16 to May 21 with paving on May 22 and May 23.
