The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office – 911/Communications Division proudly announces the addition of three highly skilled individuals to its team of Dispatcher Radio Operators. Nick Winterbourne, Matthew Bates, and Dennis Roberts have successfully completed the department’s nationally-accredited training program, which includes over 1,000 hours of study and supervised practice, combining classroom instruction with live, hands-on experience. Each has also passed three national certification exams, marking them as fully qualified and ready to serve.
Nick Winterbourne, a graduate of Clarkstown South High School, brings extensive community involvement as an active member of the West Nyack Fire Department and Pearl River Alumni Ambulance Corps. His dedication and preparedness make him an excellent addition to the team.
Matthew Bates, a graduate of Suffern High School and a former student at SUNY Rockland Community College, also joins the team with a strong background in public service. He is actively involved with the Sloatsburg Fire Department and is eager to contribute to Rockland County’s emergency communications network.
Dennis Roberts, a graduate of Clarkstown High School South, completes the trio of new operators. As an active member of New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1, Dennis brings both enthusiasm and a commitment to serving the community.
These new team members exemplify the high standards of the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and are well-prepared to support the vital communications needs of local emergency services. Please join us in congratulating Nick, Matthew, and Dennis on this significant achievement and in welcoming them to the 911/Communications Division.
