The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed ten new recruits to its 911/Communications Division, marking the start of their intensive training to become public safety telecommunicators. The recruits will now enter the Division’s nationally accredited New-Hire Dispatch Academy (Class #8), a nine- to twelve-month program that combines classroom instruction, simulated emergency scenarios, and live dispatch operations.
Throughout the academy, each trainee will be required to pass four national certification exams as they work toward becoming fully qualified emergency dispatchers. The Sheriff’s Office congratulated the recruits on their probationary appointments and wished them success as they begin this challenging and essential public safety career.
The ten new recruits are: Danielle Goswick, Tatiana Sanmillan, Alyssa Bianco, Anthony Savarese, Meri Konysz, Valerie Smith, Amber Adams, Jade Herring, Marco Sinacore, and Nicholas Johnson.
