Today, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office held another successful Community Gun Buy Back event in Suffern, resulting in the removal of 25 firearms from local streets. The initiative, aimed at enhancing public safety, was made possible with strong community participation.
The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the Suffern Police Department and the Ramapo Police Department for their vital support in the effort. Their collaboration played a key role in ensuring the event’s success, contributing to ongoing efforts to reduce gun violence in the region.
This event is part of a larger campaign by local law enforcement to keep communities safe and to encourage residents to help by turning in unwanted or illegal firearms.
I feel so much safer now. How about you? What a farce.
Unfortunately it isn’t the law abiding citizens that need to turn their guns in. IMYHO this initiative is a waste of time and taxpayer dollars.
How can the government buy back something that it NEVER owned?
