Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Bids Farewell to Longtime Radio Operators Joseph “J.D.” Delucia and Neil Armida

On Wednesday afternoon, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office marked the retirement of two veteran radio operators, celebrating decades of dedicated service to public safety. Sheriff Louis Falco, Chief Adam Feuer, numerous radio operators, and other members of the department gathered to honor Joseph “J.D.” Delucia, a Radio Operator I with 26 years of service, and Neil Armida, a Radio Operator II who served for 31 years.

The heartfelt sendoff, held at the Sheriff’s Communications Division, was also attended by members of the New York State Police (Troop F/Haverstraw) and the New York State Park Police (Palisades Zone/Bear Mountain), as well as friends and colleagues from across the region.

Both Delucia and Armida were praised for their professionalism, calm under pressure, and unwavering commitment to keeping first responders connected and the community safe. The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office extended its best wishes for a well-earned and enjoyable retirement to both men.
