Rockland County Secures $75,000 Grant for Gun Violence Reduction Initiative

Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh, in collaboration with County Executive Ed Day, announced the approval of a $75,000 grant from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. The funding is designated for the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative, a program aimed at reducing firearm-related violence.

The GIVE initiative, which is recognized nationally, provides crucial state funding to local law enforcement agencies. It serves as a key measure in addressing and reducing shootings and violent crimes involving firearms in the community.
