Rockland County Secures $621,000 HUD Grant for Emergency Solutions

Rockland County, led by County Executive Ed Day and Social Services Commissioner Joan Silvestri, has signed a resolution approving a $621,000 Emergency Solutions Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

This grant reimburses the county for its Code Blue activities, which provide emergency shelter and services during extreme weather.

The funding will enhance the county’s ability to manage emergency situations, demonstrating a strong collaboration between local and federal authorities in supporting vulnerable communities.
