Governor Kathy Hochul’s recent announcement of nearly $23 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) includes a significant allocation of $1.25 million for the village of New Square in Rockland County. This funding is designated for the crucial reconstruction of the storm drainage system, aimed at eliminating flood-induced hazards and ensuring the safety of the local community.
These grants, distributed to 33 village, town, and county-wide applicants across New York State, encompass a wide range of projects, from comprehensive planning studies to essential infrastructure improvements like sewer and water main replacements.
