Rockland County Police Departments, Sheriff, NYSP to Crack Down on Impaired Driving Over Super Bowl Weekend

Rockland County STOP-DWI, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, including local police departments, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police (NYSP), will be stepping up enforcement efforts this Super Bowl weekend to combat impaired driving.

As part of the initiative, police across the county will implement sobriety checkpoints and increase patrols to deter and detect drivers under the influence. Authorities emphasize that these measures aim to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving and prevent injuries and fatalities on the roads.

Law enforcement officials urge residents to plan ahead and make responsible choices, such as designating a sober driver or utilizing rideshare services. “Super Bowl celebrations should be enjoyed safely.
