Rockland County Officials Secure $52,618 Grant for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety

Today, Rockland County’s Deputy Commissioner of Health, Kevin McKay, and County Executive Ed Day signed a resolution approving a $52,618 grant from the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. This funding will be dedicated to improving pedestrian and bicycle safety, along with enhancing driver awareness within the county.

The grant will fund vital initiatives, including public education campaigns, infrastructure enhancements, law enforcement measures, community outreach programs, and data collection efforts. These efforts aim to create safer roads for everyone in Rockland County.
