Rockland County Marks Law Day 2025 with Courthouse Celebration

Rockland County joined the national observance of Law Day on Thursday with a ceremony at the Rockland County Courthouse recognizing the vital role of law in American society.

Representing County Executive Ed Day, Stephen Powers, Director of Public Policy & Intergovernmental Relations, presented an official proclamation declaring May 1, 2025, as Law Day U.S.A. in Rockland.

The annual event was hosted in partnership with the Rockland County Bar Association and featured participation from local high school students, educators, and legal professionals. The gathering highlighted the importance of civic education, legal awareness, and respect for the rule of law in everyday life.
