Rockland County has officially launched the Rockland County Threat Assessment Management Team (RC-TAM), a groundbreaking initiative designed to prevent targeted violence through early detection and intervention.
RC-TAM is a countywide collaboration between law enforcement agencies, school districts, mental health professionals, and trusted community partners. The team is focused on identifying individuals who may pose a threat and providing the necessary support systems before a violent act occurs.
Targeted violence refers to planned and deliberate attacks against specific individuals, groups, or locations. By working together, RC-TAM members can spot warning signs, assess threats, and intervene early to prevent harm.
Sheriff Louis Falco emphasized the importance of this initiative in a video message, highlighting the team’s mission to protect the community by addressing threats before they escalate. See video below.
Residents are encouraged to play a role in keeping Rockland safe. If you see or hear something concerning, you can submit a report confidentially at: www.rctam.org/report-a-threat
