Rockland County Launches New Emergency Management App for Residents

Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland County Office of Fire & Emergency Services Director Chris Kear announce the launch of the County’s new Emergency Management App to provide residents with a single, reliable source for emergency alerts, preparedness guidance, real‑time updates, and recovery information.

“Emergencies can occur without warning, and ensuring preparedness is the most important first step,” said County Executive Ed Day. “The goal of the app is to have the latest updates and information from the Rockland County Emergency Management Division delivered right at the fingertips of our residents.”

Users will find seamless navigation of features all in one place including:

  • Preparedness tips, videos, and checklists
  • Power outage information
  • Traffic and roadway updates
  • Real-time weather information
  • Warming and cooling center locations
  • Access and Functional Needs Registry registration
  • Disaster damage reporting

“Serving as the single source for emergency information and resources, the new app is designed to help Rockland residents prepare before an emergency occurs, stay informed during the emergency, and how to recover afterward,” said Rockland County Office of Fire & Emergency Services Director Chris Kear.
