Rockland County Launches Monthly Photo Contest: Submissions Open Now

Rockland County Executive Ed Day is thrilled to announce the launch of a new “Photo of the Month” contest, giving residents a chance to showcase their photography skills while celebrating the beauty of Rockland County. Each month, the winning photo will be featured as the banner image on the county’s official website, shining a spotlight on local talent and scenic highlights.

Submissions for December’s contest are officially open and will be accepted through November 15th. Residents are encouraged to capture and submit images that capture the diversity of Rockland’s landscapes, landmarks, and changing seasons.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Image Orientation: Only horizontal photos are eligible to ensure they fit the website banner.
  • Usage Rights: By submitting, participants grant Rockland County permission to use their photos without copyright restrictions, credits, or watermarks.
  • Format: Photos must be high-resolution, at least 1920×670 pixels, and in one of the following formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, or SVG.

“This contest is a fantastic way for residents to share their unique perspective on what makes Rockland County special,” said County Executive Ed Day. “We look forward to seeing the creativity of our community come to life each month on the county’s website.”
