Rockland County’s Economic Development & Tourism Department recently held a workshop aimed at helping local organizations enhance their marketing strategies for events and programs. The goal is to boost tourism and transform the region into a premier travel destination.
County Executive Ed Day opened the workshop, emphasizing the importance of maximizing the resources available through grant funding. “The goal of this program is for your organization to capitalize on these funds and make the most of the grant award,” said Day. “Let’s do the best we can to promote our County, which in turn, creates jobs, strengthens economies, and contributes to infrastructure development.”
The workshop offered guidance on how to effectively promote Rockland’s attractions, with a focus on increasing visibility and drawing more visitors to the area.
Organizations interested in applying for 2025 Tourism grants are encouraged to reach out to the department at explorerocklandny@co.rockland.ny.us for more information.
Rockland County continues to invest in tourism as a key driver of economic growth, with plans to support local initiatives that will bolster the county’s infrastructure and job market.
