Rockland County Honors Local Volunteers with Inaugural H.E.R.R.O. Scholarships

Nyack Fire Department volunteer Aidan Carton and Nanuet EMS volunteer Dylan Habif were proudly recognized as two of the inaugural recipients of the H.E.R.R.O. scholarships by Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services Director Chris Kear.

The H.E.R.R.O. program, short for Higher Education Recruitment & Retention Opportunities, has been recently introduced to provide college tuition assistance specifically tailored for volunteer firefighters and emergency responders.
