Rockland County Highway Department Launches 2026 Road Resurfacing Program, Starting In Clarkstown

The Rockland County Highway Department will begin its 2026 road resurfacing program next week, starting with milling operations on several county-maintained roads in the Town of Clarkstown.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 16, on Old Middletown Road, from Middletown Road to the end of Middletown Road. Milling operations will continue on Tuesday, March 17, on Pascack Road, from east of the tunnel to Smith Road, continuing to Kingsgate Parkway.

Officials say work will begin at 7:00 a.m., weather permitting. Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and are advised to follow posted detour signs and consider alternate routes.
