Rockland County Health Department Issues Unauthorized Robocall Clarification, Announces MMR Vaccine Clinic

The Rockland County Department of Health (RCDOH) acknowledged Wednesday that the controversial measles-related robocall sent to thousands of Ramapo residents did not match the message previously discussed with Hatzoloh of Rockland, despite the two organizations having coordinated on a general vaccination reminder ahead of the holidays.

RCDOH said it had worked with Hatzolah on crafting a notification, but “the message that was agreed upon was not what was ultimately sent out.”

“We regret how it played out,” the department added, noting that officials are reviewing the incident “to ensure it does not happen again.”

Monsey Scoop reached out to Hatzoloh, which said they appreciate the county’s clarification and “hope to work together going forward to ensure the right messaging is communicated to the community.”

The county also reminded residents that free measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccinations will be available next week through the RCDOH Mobile Vaccination Van:

Tuesday, December 2
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Rockland Kosher Supermarket, 27 Orchard Street, Monsey

MMR vaccines are also available at local healthcare providers, including Refuah Health and Sun River Health, or by calling the Rockland County Department of Health at 845-364-2497 or 845-364-2520.

  1. THIS IS MALICIOUS DEADLY FRAUD.

Why? Even if one person somehow contracted the measles….

    1) It’s fully treatable with Dextamethasone, a routine antibiotic.

    2) one sick individual isn’t an outbreak of anything.

    3) we don’t give countless individual a drug or a vaccine that has known or proven side effects (check the warnings label insert) for one or even for fifty sick individuals. That is statistically ZERO.

    4) And the vaccine has ZERO double blind or placebo studies, and ZERO efficacy. But it’s been proven to cause significant harms and death.

    • Only true point is 2. No one disagrees.

Measles is a virus and isn’t fully treatable with Dextamethasone which is an antibiotic.

  2. I never, ever, comment on a website, ever. But I felt I didn’t have a choice this time. Moshe’s comment shouldn’t have even been posted – it’s flat out dangerous and completely inaccurate. Zero efficacy is just not true, and it has been shown over and over and over again that vaccines, especially the MMR, literally saves lives. I work in a doctor’s office, and guess what? Plenty of people don’t believe in vaccines and then all of a sudden, it’s erev yom tov and their child gets chicken pox, and their plans are ruined or they have a newborn and oh now they believe in them, and they come running to vaccinate the rest of their kids.

Oh, and dextamethasone doesn’t exist, but dexamethasone does and it’s not an antibiotic, it’s a steroid.

    Careful what you say.
