The Rockland County Fire Training Center recently conducted an intensive Engine Company Operations class, a comprehensive hands-on training program developed in-house by the center’s certified instructors. The course provided firefighters with both foundational and advanced instruction in hose line deployment, water supply tactics, and hydrant operations—essential skills for effective fireground performance.
Designed and taught by Level II certified instructors, many of whom actively contribute to the evolution of the training curriculum, the course ensures that participants receive up-to-date, practical knowledge grounded in real-world scenarios. The emphasis on “tricks of the trade” and live drills helped firefighters improve speed, efficiency, and safety during fire suppression activities.
The county praised both instructors and students for their commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development in emergency services.
