Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services announced a major step forward in its training program with the construction of a new Flashover Simulator and Backdraft Simulator. Crews were on-site today pouring the concrete pad that will serve as the foundation for the state-of-the-art training facilities.
The new simulators are designed to provide firefighters with realistic, hands-on experience in dangerous fire conditions, helping them better prepare for the challenges they face in real-world emergencies. Officials say the addition of these simulators will significantly enhance training capabilities across the county.
Updates on the project’s progress will be shared as construction continues, with officials noting that the new facilities mark a major milestone in strengthening the preparedness and safety of local fire personnel.
