Rockland County Executive Urges Hochul To Veto Election Bills

On Tuesday County Executive Ed Day sent the attached letter to Governor Kathy Hochul urging her to veto bills passed seemingly in the dead of night, without any involvement or input from hardworking taxpayers, by New York State lawmakers that would detrimentally impact local elections.

If signed into law, bills A04282 and S3505B would force local elections to occur in even years, resulting in local races being buried and overshadowed by State and Federal elections.
