Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined the County Drainage Agency and the Division of Environmental Resources to help restock the Zebrowski-Morahan Demarest Kill County Park lake with fish. This effort, conducted on Friday, included the introduction of hundreds of Blue Gills and Bass, along with thousands of Minnows, in an effort to revitalize the lake following the completion of a new dam.
Since the restoration work was completed, the lake has seen the return of various wildlife, including turtles, bullfrogs, geese, ducks, and a Great Blue Heron. The revitalized lake is once again thriving with life, making it a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts.
County officials encourage residents to visit the park soon to enjoy the rejuvenated natural habitat and the newly stocked fish population.
