Rockland County Executive Ed Day Attends Opening of Pearl River Library’s Temporary Location

Rockland County Executive Ed Day joined the Pearl River Public Library to celebrate the opening of its new temporary location at 75 E. Central Avenue in Pearl River. The move comes as the library’s Franklin Avenue building undergoes extensive renovations.

Jerusalem Ramirez, representing Assemblyman Aron Wieder from District 97, also attended the event to show support for the library’s efforts and the importance of providing improved resources for the community.

The Franklin Avenue location will remain closed for approximately 18 months to allow for a comprehensive overhaul. The renovation project will include significant upgrades to the community and children’s rooms, improvements to the heating and cooling systems, updated computer equipment, and an overall modernization of the facility.

Library officials expressed excitement about the transformation, emphasizing that the upgraded space will provide patrons and visitors with an enhanced experience for years to come.
