Rockland County Executive Ed Day, joined by DSS Commissioner Joan Silvestri, has approved two significant resolutions to support vulnerable populations.
The first resolution allocates over $100,000 to the Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference. This funding will provide supervised setting program services, helping transition-aged youth live independently in community-based settings like apartments and shared housing.
The second resolution accepts $815,891 in grant funds for the Continuum of Care Program. This program aims to end homelessness by quickly rehousing individuals and families, promoting access to mainstream programs, and optimizing self-sufficiency for those experiencing homelessness.
These resolutions highlight Rockland County’s commitment to aiding its most vulnerable residents through strategic funding and partnerships.
