Rockland County Emergency Services Deploys Drones for Disaster Response

Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services has introduced advanced drone technology as part of its Emergency Management Division’s disaster response operations. These drones are now being actively utilized in a variety of critical situations, including search and rescue missions, damage assessments, debris management, and safety inspections before allowing public reentry into affected areas.

Officials say the integration of drones significantly enhances response efforts, allowing teams to operate more quickly, safely, and efficiently during emergencies. The addition of this technology marks another step forward in Rockland County’s commitment to preparedness and public safety.
