Last week, Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh was among the distinguished honorees at a high-profile Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation BBQ held in Palisades, New Jersey. The event, organized by renowned community leader and NY/NJ law enforcement chaplain Rabbi Abe Friedman, brought together top brass from across the Tri-State area to recognize public safety officials who have gone above and beyond in service to their communities.
DA Walsh, a respected veteran prosecutor, was honored for his unwavering dedication to public safety and his long-standing collaboration with Rockland’s diverse communities. “Working hand-in-hand with the Jewish community has been instrumental in keeping our neighborhoods safe and united,” Walsh told attendees.
The event featured tributes to dozens of federal, state, and local officials from New York and New Jersey, including representatives from the FBI, NYPD, New York State Police, and county DA’s offices. It served not only as a celebration but as a powerful symbol of the close cooperation between law enforcement and community leaders across the region.
Rabbi Abe Friedman praised the honorees for their sensitivity, professionalism, and commitment to community-focused policing. “This BBQ is about recognizing those who serve with heart and humility—and reminding them that their work does not go unnoticed,” he said.

I guess Spring Valley Police Department and elected officials are only useful when it comes to mincha area at the Spring Valley Market Place.
Oh, never mind, the elected officials from Spring Valley were not even invited to that either…
