Rockland County DA Announces Return of Bill Martinez as Director of Narcotics Task Force

The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office has announced that Bill Martinez has rejoined the team, stepping into the role of Director of the Narcotics Task Force.

Martinez brings more than three decades of law-enforcement experience, with a career marked by distinguished service at both the federal level and within the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Throughout his tenure, he has overseen and executed complex investigations ranging from public corruption and narcotics trafficking to white-collar crime.

Many of these cases required coordination across multiple agencies and jurisdictions, demanding sophisticated investigative strategy and meticulous case management — expertise Martinez is widely recognized for.

The DA’s Office said his return will significantly bolster ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking and enhance public safety across Rockland County.
