Rockland County Celebrates Inauguration of New Data Center in Orangeburg

Rockland County Economic Development and Tourism Director, Lucy Redzeposki, attended a dedication ceremony for DataBank’s first data center (LGA-3) in Orangeburg. This state-of-the-art facility aims to address the growing demand for increased capacity and critical IT infrastructure and services.

Scheduled to open in early 2025, the center will feature 197,000 square feet of space. “We are proud to celebrate the dedication of this cutting-edge data center,” said Director Redzeposki. “This investment not only brings new jobs and revenue to our community but also solidifies our position as a hub for technological excellence and economic prosperity.”

The new data center is expected to play a significant role in boosting the local economy and enhancing the region’s technological capabilities.
